He alone knows what you have accomplished. I believe you are the front line and we come mopping up behind you. May you richly enjoy the reward Father has for you. We work in an area where they have not yet stopped turning to witches, wizards and curses. It is an exciting place to be. Victories are exhilarating. Life is challenging. One has to be ready for anything. And God saw it all coming and prepared a blessing for us. At Christmas the Sunrise hotel made a profit. Then there was the terrible crash when the takings were stolen and great expenses mounted up. Then there was a battle with corruption to try to get compensation. The story became amazing! Townsfolk came to our rescue, true friendship surfaced, depleted staff worked their tails off and all the clients left satisfied and grateful. The police found a new respect for us. Churches prayed for us. A recently converted man in prison offered us land in prime position on the main road to build a diagnostic, surgical hospital (desperately needed there for millions). And it was here on the straight that there were 5 separate accidents in 12 hours Christmas morning when 4 died and many went to hospital. Pray with us for victory here. So much progress to thank God for: Orphans work in Fort Portal, in the Crater Lakes, in the villages and with hundreds in Nairobi in the care of Jared and Carren. The little church at Sunrise grows and orphans come and enjoy a meal. Derek has started a Sunday School for them. Another large work is planned at Gweri village with Pastor John and Alice. More news next time! Then work for hospitals multiplies, a new work helping "Tenderhanz Nursing Home" with Juliet, the new project at Fort Portal to provide modern diagnosis and surgery, the continuing support to "Gospel of Life" hospital at Kampala slums and a joyful group celebrate with Hugh and Judi from Gloucester at the opening of maternity hospital at Kahangi. Encouragement comes with the support of doctors and pastors join forces in our NGO (like a charity). Life feels better with a local team! Discussion and prayer seeks the way for the work - Gerald, a first class surgeon and Margaret, a loved and clever doctor lead the medical work while John and Julius help us in churches etc. There is so much to make us raise thanks to the heavens and there are huge challenges to drive us to our knees. Can you join us too? Satan is not a happy devil! We are finding, "Greater is He in us than he in the world. "
