Youth group trip to Lopwell Dam
Written by: Tessa, Abbey & Sophie

Messing about on the river...

We went to Lopwell Dam on Friday the 13th of July and returned on Sunday the 15th of July.

On the Friday we just went for a little paddle in the dam, then just chilled out. At about midnight we started singing songs like 'Kumbaya', 'Old Mcdonald' and our own made-up songs !!

We started Saturday with a LONG LONG LONG walk (which Sophie thought was a marathon). Later on that day we had a bike ride, quiz and a bible time. At the end of the day late on Saturday night, Tiffy (Penny`s friend) had a tummy ache, and not long after everyone except Penny & Sophie began to feel unwell. That night the toilet became most people's best friend!! Some of us spent almost the entire night in the toilet! OOPS!

Finally Sunday came, while we were all packing up our stuff ready to leave, with some people still going to the LOO (!!), we still all agreed that everyone had had a great time together. We think that the problem which caused all the tummy upsets was to do with the water.

Luckily everyone has now fully recovered. And we want to say a big thank you to Tim & Lindy, Martin & Suzana and Beck`s for helping out and giving us all a great weekend away. And not forgetting all of our parents who provided the food, money and transport.

"More tea vicar?" (The latest graduates from the Lopwell Finishing School celebrate their passing out parade.)
