EVelyn at UK school

Evangelist Evelyn is seen here teaching a class in an English school. Her presentation of African stories held the children spellbound and their involvement in African dance caused much amusement and enthusiasm. Evelyn proved a great ambassador for things African. African teachers have much to offer schools in Europe. Hopefully visits can be arranged later.

Musical instruments like these can be made in Africa and exported to schools abroad. It is one way to produce income to help support the schools.

Bishop Muchanga with school computers

On his visit to the UK in the winter of 2004, Bishop Muchanga struggles with just a touch of envy as he inspects the computer room at Stoke Climsland School in Cornwall.

Bishop Muchanga and his wife Rachel went on to visit St Rumon’s School, Tavistock. Friendships were forged so quickly and the Head teacher, Mrs Long, was eager to twin with the Bishop’s school in Kayole, Nairobi. She has already started a collection of school uniforms to send out to ‘The Wisdom Nest’ and is busy planning projects for 2005.
