Evelyn Komuntale is the president of Outreach to Africa NGO. She has spent many years arranging sponsors to give orphans and street children an education. Many children are now in their teens and still call her "Mom" or Mama with great affection. She grew up in Uganda and many of her school-day contemporaries are now in important positions in Ugandan politics and commerce.

When GLAM and OTA met and began to work together amazing progress happened. Evelyn knew the people that could help and we brought in the supplies. This resulted in a hospital that brought 46 new babies into the world and treated over 1000 patients in the first 10 weeks of being open.

Over the summer of 2004, Evelyn invited friends from churches in USA to come and help for two weeks. Here they are giving 'Feedback' of their experiences, praying and preparing for a new day.

The American friends brought over cases of new shoes and here the children at the school aided by OTA are proudly showing off their new shoes. Notice one or two are not letting go of their old pair!
