Working
with Sadiki & Violette - Dave & Kathy from Tavistock
|

Sadiki
is working together with the Confederation leaders and local
dignitaries towards rebuilding relationships, fathering and
educating the orphans and creating employment across the Great
Lakes region in Africa.
Dave &
Kathy Palmer (pictured right with Sadiki and Violette) and
Colin & Joy Bond, all leaders of Tavistock Community Church
have been out to Rwanda several times befriending, teaching,
helping to reconcile differences and looking at how we can
help them set up small businesses so they can become self
funding. We would much rather they had work and the fulfilment
of earning money for themselves than just be waiting for the
next handout from us.

Sadiki's
daughter Linda
|
Whilst
on their first trip, Sadiki introduced Colin and Dave to Linda,
his daughter (pictured left). She is a little bundle of fun
and joy. However, while Violette was pregnant with Linda,
she was beaten by Hutu soldiers during the genocide. Linda
was born with complications in her legs and in her speech
organs. She cannot walk properly and speaks like a one-year-old.
However, due to the generosity of Tavistock townsfolk, we've
been able to provide her with physiotherapy which has improved
her condition to the extent that she now able to take a few
steps on her own! Thank you for all your support.
