| A Very Happy Christmas to you from all of us at King's... |
-
especially those of us from Tavistock Community Church smiling at you from
the front cover!
ay
God bless you with a joyous time with friends and family and give you a revelation
of His love and His welcome into His family. There's a place in His family
for everyone. Family in God's eyes means loving relationships, not just being
together under the same roof. His love reaches to the loneliest and the wickedest.
How do you think I got included?!
From the Community Church we have been amazed at the expanse of that family across the world and how warm has been the welcome to us and how much love and hope has been given us. This issue brings news of the family both at home and around the world - Annette in Cambodia, Kenny's Korner, containers of medical and educational goods to Africa, Ruby in Tavistock and much more.
This
is our calendar magazine and is our small Christmas gift for you. We hope
you like the local pictures and your interest and concern is stirred by the
scenes of our friends in Africa. Many are lovely Christian people starving
and struggling to survive. Thank you for your help in 2002. Derek (with his
dog Dempsey - see pic right) is running street collections 13th/14th and 19th/20th
December. He's a brave man having returned from three weeks' strenuous work
in Rwanda only the day before! He'll be pleased to see you with much to tell
you!
Thank you for your help and support for the Great Lakes (Africa) Mission. Tavistock truly is a wonderful community with a big charitable heart. Thank you to Roger and the Tavistock Times Gazette for writing nice stories about the work! Thanks Tim for bringing King's News to its high reputation and welcome Ken for coming to take it on into 2003.
It is time you came to see us at The King's. We've laid a new drive so the springs on your car will survive and there's a warm welcome waiting for you. May 2003 exceed all your expectations and be the best year yet!
